Biographical Text
Stefan Fedorak was born in Elintsi in the region of Snatyn in what was Austria, then Poland, and is now Ukraine. He entered Canada through Winnipeg, Manitoba from the United States after World War I in order to escape conscription into the American Army. Stefan worked in a gas plant, as a baker, and liked working with horses. In Vancouver he worked as a cement finisher and a tanner.
Stefan joined the ULFTA in 1924 for the camaraderie and social aspects offered at the Hall.
